Starbucks Coffee's Whoopie Pie

Starbucks Coffee celebrated their 40th Anniversary this month. In line with the occasion, the company rolled out new products which are eye-candies. The question is, are they 'candies' to the mouth?

More than just blending coffee, the store introduced new and reintroduced seasoned promotional foods in the country. These foods are as follows: Cake Pop, Chocolate Decadence Cake, Whoopie Pie, Garden Veggie Roll, Chocolate Salted Caramel Pecan Bar, BBQ Pulled Pork, Roasted Chicken Pesto and Shiitake Mushroom on Flat Bread.

Take the Whoopie Pie for a review.
The Whoopie Pie has been in the menu for years.

It is two soft, large fudgy dark chocolate cookie filled with white fluffy roasted marshmallow cream icing with chocolate chips.

The cookie is moist. It's soft and tasty. The filling is too sweet.

This is not a good treat for people who dislike sweets. The pairing of the cookie and the filling create a very sweet taste that eventually will let the eater, in no time, get enough of the food.

According to the official site of Starbucks Coffee, all of the promotional foods compose less than 200 calories. For those who are in a diet, forget this food. For the others, you can try it out for Php55.00.
