Good Breakfasts at Taman Sari

How would you define a good breakfast? Well, for me, the food has to be delicious, the place has to be comfortable and most importantly, I have to be served well by the staff. These three are just a few of the hallmarks that Taman Sari Restaurant of Hotel Istana possess.

The place is always almost full during mornings. I wouldn't be surprised if people would tag it as one of the must-try buffet restaurants in Kuala Lumpur.

I’m saying it now. The dinner I had at Putrajaya Shangri-La was absolutely delicious—so much I wanted another round.

Exhausted by the day’s activities, I asked myself for nothing more than to retreat to my room in Hotel Istana. But I felt invigorated the moment our tour guide mentioned our bus was heading to Putrajaya Shangri-La. I knew that we were going to eat dinner at Putrajaya—I did not know it’s a Shangri-La.

Malaysia, Here I Come!

Hours from now, I'll be having my first out-of-the-country trip. I'm going to Malaysia along with bloggers and media agents to experience the maiden flight of AirAsia Zest Philippines-Malaysia network route and discover the country through the itinerary prepared by the Tourism of Malaysia for the next three days.

I've heard so many people rave about Malaysia and I can't wait to see what it really has to offer - to get a taste of that first-hand experience myself. At the moment, I know nothing more about Malaysia except for the fact that it’s part of Asia; there’s this talked-about building called Petronas which will take almost four hours to travel by plane.  I won’t do much research after this post. I want to discover Malaysia only when I get there. So Malaysia, surprise me!

I have been receiving so many event invitations (mostly food-oriented) and I have been declining all of them to give way to my responsibilities in school. Being a third year college student is not easy , especially when you're enrolled in a school run by strict nuns.

While we see pictures of exhaustion and motivation in our mothers at home, we tend to forget how similar it is to our fathers. Though not seen, fathers work hard enough for us to sustain a family well-breed, supplied with ample wants and needs.

Most of us get blinded that the money we use for purchasing those trending dresses and shoes, latest gadgets and what not tracks from the labor of our fathers.

More so, the type of cooking is very inventive- in many cases, it incorporates non-native ingredients. Thus, making the taste of the dishes accommodating with the fast-changing taste preference of the young generation.

Like the usual time I wake up on school days, I was already on my feet at 6:00am of 18 March, not for class but for a trip that I was so thrilled to experience for the past week, the Highlands to Islands: Tour Davao the Marco Polo Way.

A couple weeks ago, I received an email from Marco Polo Plaza Cebu, inviting me to spend four of my summer days at Marco Polo Davao and try out what Davao prides itself in the food industry.

A week ago, the special event came to a close. I had a great time- all the people I've met, the places I've visited and activities that I did were a blast. I am surprised with the abundance of restaurants  diners, cafes and shops Davao has. Up to this day, I feel ecstatic with the wonderful things I've experienced throughout the tour.

About a week ago, I read an email sharing information about a food exposition. It sounded fascinating and so for the very first time in my entire life, today, I attended one.

World Food Expo (WOFEX) Visayas 2013 HoReCa (Hotel, Restaurant and Catering) is a food and beverage convention. It opened today and is going to culminate on April 6, 2013 (you can still check it out at 10am to 7pm, hurray!) at the Cebu International Convention Center.
