Sugbusog 2013: Street Food Classics

When we were younger and had loose change in our pockets, the street was the perfect place to go. It was the street food that drew us there.

While munching on our food, good memories cloud our minds and remind us that simple things can make our days. This is the reason why I'm inviting you to try out the dishes of Sugbusog 2013 at Marco Polo Plaza Cebu's Cafe Marco.

With Sinulog 2013 festivities celebrated all the days until third Sunday of this month, it's perfect to have a taste of Cebu's local bites served in a five-star setting.

Judge me if you like but I'm going to spill out some beans. I actually finished two sticks of Banana Cue (Caramelized Banana on stick), three Lambay (Crabs), four Baluts (a fertilized duck embryo boiled and eaten in the shell) and so much more in one sitting (those where just appetizers for me, by the way)

Eating street foods is the best way to know the culture and history of a place so don't miss a chance to have all of them on one spread. You'll save so much time and traveling expenses.

Below is a short video clip that will show you what's cooking at Cebu's best buffet, Cafe Marco at lunch and dinner time today.

Visit Cafe Marco & join the ten-day Culinary Journey, celebrating the taste and flavors of Philippine street foods and authentic Filipino dishes. Culinary Journeys: Street Food Classics runs from 11 - 20 January, 2013.

Marco Polo Plaza Cebu is located at Cebu Veterans Drive, Nivel Hills, Apas, Cebu City, 6000, Philippines. For inquiries or reservations, you may contact them at 2531111 or email at
