I haven't really been to a place with a specialized menu for crabs. This is exactly the reason why, figuratively speaking, my heart skipped a beat when Blackbeard's Seafood Island came to Cebu.
People who don't enjoy crabs as much as a crab junkie like me does, would expectedly wonder the specialty of crabs. Tell you what: there is actually more than the white flesh contained in the orange crust. There are actually so many things to twist about the dish.
For instance, plain crabs can made use as main dish of a salad, soup or icecream. There are many happy and good ways to twist the dish and the creativity of Blackbeard's Seafood Island has discovered and is offering some of these to hungry seafood lovers.
Crab Maritess fits perfectly to those who love garlic-flavored dishes. This crab is abundant with garlic essence and bits. It has a pungent heated taste and smells spicy.
Raymund's Salt and Pepper Crab is just right for those who can't seem to make up their minds as to which crab to choose. This dish is named after the franchiser, Mr. Raymond Magdaluyo. The crab is specially concocted with salt and pepper which brings a slightly fiery flavor.
Szechuian Crab will satiate stomachs of those who has been searching for a kick of spice in seafood.
Crab Lilian will pique the appetite of those who love coconut milk. The crabs in this dish are drizzled with specially formulated broth dominant with fresh coconut milk. Imagine having this food taken out for a meal by the beach, you're having coconut and crabs in one bowl- perfect combination, I must say!
The surfboards on the ceiling, colorful beach house paintings and overwhelming menu adds more reason why this place is a good tropical dining experience.
